Three Jamaican Hotels Get Top Award From US Magazine

Three Jamaican hotels have been ranked among the best in the world by the Travel plus Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2016.

Travel plus Leisure is a US-based magazine and the World's Best Awards are granted based on votes by the magazine's readers.

The Jamaican hotels which topped the “Best Resort Hotels in the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the Bahamas” category include Round Hill Hotel & Villas in Montego Bay which placed at number five, Golden Eye Resort in Oracabessa, St Mary which placed at number eight, and Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, St Ann, which placed ninth.

Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett says the recognition proves that Jamaica provides stellar hospitality and guest experience.

Director of Tourism, Paul Pennicook says the awards are a testament to Jamaica’s luxury tourism product which has shown significant growth over the past few years.

Every year, Travel plus Leisure readers are asked to rate hotels on their rooms and facilities, location, service, food and drink, and overall value.
